The Madrid Metro Friends Association "Andén 1" is a group of people interested in the history and evolution of Madrid Metro network in all its aspects: infrastructure, rolling stock, services, advertising campaigns... From "Andén 1" we want to promote the knowledge of these matters, giving our metro the importance it deserves. Metro is a very important part of the Madrid swing of life since 1919 and today's Madrid would be inconceivable without its Metro.

In addition, we urge and encourage people to use public transportation in general, and Metro in particular. We are convinced that it is essential for improving mobility in the city.

To reach our targets, we carry out activities such as meetings, visits, or exhibitions, sometimes together with other associations which have the same aims. We are in permanent contact with our members and supporters through our portal "Andén 2", which is an interesting active forum, and an picture gallery that is worth visiting.
